Richard Saunders BSc (Hons) MRICS
DIRECTOR
Richard is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 25 years’ industry experience, specialising in commercial dilapidations matters.
Representing both owners and occupiers, Richard provides comprehensive, professional advice and support to a variety of clients to suit all situations including strategic dilapidations advice and liability assessments, preparing and defending interim and lease end dilapidations claims and managing risk in connection with tenant break options. Richard also undertakes office and industrial / logistics refurbishment schemes to achieve lease compliance in support of dilapidations negotiations.
Richard established SGL with Sara and Terry to focus on delivering best in class, client oriented dilapidations solutions. Prior to SGL, Richard worked for a number of top real estate advisory firms including Savills, Hollis and DTZ. Richard graduated from London South Bank University in 2002 with a First Class Honours degree in Building Surveying and is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Terry Gibbons BSc (Hons) MRICS
DIRECTOR
Terry has over 25 years’ experience as a Building Surveyor, obtaining MRICS chartered status in 2003, with a wide range of Building Surveying experience, the main focus being on contract administration / project management and dilapidation matters.
Over the course of his career, Terry has undertaken technical due diligence surveys across many asset classes ranging from residential properties, offices, retail units and industrial warehouses, strategic maintenance management, feasibility studies and defect diagnostics.
Having worked for a number of major institutional pension funds, asset management firms and property management companies, Terry prides himself on being approachable and pragmatic, with a focused approach to any given situation, always looking to responding to and advise clients in a timely manner.
With the inception of SGL, Terry’s primary focus now is providing contract administration / project management services. His extensive contract administration experience provides a crucial element in advising and assisting clients on capital expenditure for refurbishment works, but also enables Terry to advise on strategic lease end negotiations.
Prior to SGL, Terry worked for a number of leading consultancy firms including Savills, Watts and Citex (formally Bucknall Austin and now Rider Levett Bucknall).

Sara Lewis BSc (Hons) MRICS
DIRECTOR
Sara is a dedicated property professional with a history of meeting corporate goals, adapts quickly to new situations and challenges, maintaining a sharp focus on client requirements with client specific, bespoke strategies. Sara has consistently achieved outstanding results working with both Landlords and Tenants, whether it be dilapidation assessments during the term, or for Landlords as part of work options for the building to assess recoverability, dealing with break options or terminal dilapidations.
Sara is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 25 years’ experience in commercial property across all sectors, working with both Institutional and private clients. Prior to forming SGL Sara headed up the national Dilapidations service line at Savills, where she worked for 15 years.
Sara is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has worked at a number of top real estate advisory firms including Hollis and Savills.
